Jethro visits Moses in the wilderness, arriving with Zipporah and her two sons. After a warm welcome, he hears about God’s rescue and shares a meal with Aaron and the elders. The next day he sees people waiting from morning to evening while Moses listens to their disputes alone. Jethro offers a better plan: Moses should keep teaching God’s laws and choose capable, honest leaders to share the responsibility, with the hardest matters still brought to him. Moses listens and changes how the work is organised. In a separate modern family story, Eli feels overwhelmed by a pile of picture books. Maya offers help, Mum listens, and they plan a small sorting task before resting together. This 29-page digital edition includes 14 illustrated story scenes, seven questions, My Little Caring Plan, a prayer and two activities: One Little Job Together and A Thoughtful Little Reply. Grown-up notes explain the selected retelling, including Jethro’s condition that his advice accords with God’s command. They keep adult responsibilities with adults, encourage children to check advice with a trusted grown-up and make room for rest. Activities use paper and conversation; any real sorting needs light items, low shelves and supervision. The EPUB requires a reader supporting EPUB 3 fixed layout.
