After crossing the sea, Moses and the people travel for three days without finding water. At Marah, the water is bitter and they cannot drink it. Moses asks God for help, and the water changes. Later, the families rest beside the springs and palm trees of Elim. In a separate present-day story, rain spoils Eli’s picnic plan. Mum listens to his disappointment, and Maya helps them plan an indoor picnic. This 29-page digital edition includes 14 illustrated story pages, seven questions, a caring plan, a prayer and two activities: Draw a Kind New Plan and Practise a Helpful Reply. The grown-up notes explain the simplified retelling and acknowledge that drinking water is a real need. Sweet means the water was no longer bitter, not that it became sugary. This Bible event is not a water-treatment method to try today. The EPUB requires a reader supporting EPUB 3 fixed layout.
