About this story

Moses and the people have left slavery in Egypt, but a sea lies ahead and Pharaoh’s army is approaching. A strong wind reveals a dry path through the water, and the families cross towards freedom. In a separate present-day story, Eli feels nervous about a little bridge in the park. Mum listens, offers her hand and helps him choose a safe next step. This 29-page digital edition includes 14 illustrated story pages, seven questions, a caring plan, a prayer and two activities: Make a Help-Path Picture and Practise Asking for Help. Read the grown-up notes first: the Bible account includes the drowning of the pursuing army. This edition acknowledges the deaths without describing or illustrating them, welcomes difficult feelings and explains the simplified retelling. It does not promise that every danger will disappear. The EPUB requires a reader supporting EPUB 3 fixed layout.
