About this story

Moses sees a bush shining with fire that does not burn away. God calls him to help the people suffering in Egypt, but Moses feels unsure about the task and worries about speaking. God promises to be with him, and Aaron will help. At home, Eli and Maya discover that completing their little block bridge is easier when they ask for support. Seven questions, a caring plan, a prayer and two activities invite families to explore listening and brave beginnings together. The paper bush activity uses paper and colours only, with no real fire.
