Maya would like a turn leading their garden trail. Join Eli, Maya and Mum as they open their Bible and explore how Moses asks God to choose a new leader for Israel. Moses knows he will not lead the people into the promised land, and he cares about who will guide them next. God names Joshua, a man with God’s Spirit. Moses brings him before Eleazar the priest and the gathered people, lays his hands on him and gives him his new responsibility. Eleazar will seek God’s guidance on Joshua’s behalf. This selected retelling gently mentions that Moses will die, without picturing his death. Moses remains alive throughout this passage. Grown-up notes explain the Meribah context and distinguish Joshua’s adult responsibility from the family’s supervised garden trail. Separate modern scenes invite listening, taking turns and asking caring grown-ups for help. Children are not responsible for keeping others safe or managing adults, and their questions are welcome. The 29-page digital edition includes fourteen distinct illustrated story scenes, Bible references beneath relevant passages, seven discussion questions, My Little Caring Plan, a short prayer and two activities: A Little Garden Trail and My Helpers Picture. The PDF has searchable interior text; the matching fixed-layout EPUB preserves the illustrated pages and requires a compatible EPUB 3 reader.
